With Independence Day officially behind us, we have now welcomed in the month of July. We hope everyone had an enjoyable holiday and continue to stay safe throughout the weekend as celebrations continue. We have featured two activities coming up in Sanford next week for you all to check out!
Spencer’s Art Camp, sponsored by Lee County Arts Council, is taking place starting next week, July 9, at The Stevens Center. The camp is targeted toward ages 8-15. There are four dates of each art class, July 9, July 16, July 23, and July 30. Each class will be different and will explore paint, sculpture, and clay. The cost per class is $20 or all four for $60. This registration fee includes classes, tools, and supplies. Registration form is available online at stevenscenter.org or at the Steven Center office.
Bank Geeks will be performed at The Temple Theatre Company July 12-14. This fun musical is one for all ages. In the tradition of “Glee” and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, comes Band Geeks, a celebration of the tribulations of all those who have spent football halftimes pounding out band classics. Those who have ever experienced high school band, performing or in the audience, will recognize the familiar highs and lows in this show. Come watch troubled athlete, Elliot, and his best friend Laura as they find a way to unite their high school band and save the Marching Beavers. More details and tickets can be found at The Temple Theatre Website.
Have a happy holiday weekend! Check back next week for more July fun.
