The Welcome to Sanford Business of the Week is The Painted Petal, an art studio which offers kid’s art camps, events, and painting classes for aspiring artists of all ages. The Painted Petal aims to help the people who think they could never paint discover their inner artist.
The Painted Petal regularly holds classes for both children and adults. They offer “Art To-Go” DIY Paint Kits which allow you to take the fun home, as well as in-person classes for people of all skill levels. Classes are currently limited to 10 painters, and masks are required. They also offer Virtual Paint Dates which allow you to paint and receive instruction live with founder Lisa Orlando online.
Lisa founded The Painted Petal in the Spring of 2000. Over the course of Lisa’s career she has taught painting across the country, been a featured artist at The Southern Ideal Home Show and worked to design Home Depot’s nationwide “Do-It-Yourself” program. Through the Painted Petal, Lisa shares her passion for painting with the Sanford community.
