Shopping and Spirit in Downtown Sanford!

Thanksgiving is over, and after a good night’s sleep the Christmas season has begun! While many are out looking for Black Friday deals and many more are shopping online, there is a great opportunity tomorrow to find local deals as part of Small Business Saturday!

Started by American Express as part of an advertising campaign back in 2010, the idea of Small Business Saturday as an event quickly caught on with social media. This year, Downtown Sanford Inc. is promoting the event with a number of giveaways and promotions!

Back from last year is the Sanford Holiday Punch Card! For every $10 you spend at participating downtown Sanford businesses between November 30th and December 24th, you get a stamp on your card. Once you get 5 stamps, you can turn in your card to be entered into a drawing to win prizes! Ask for a punch card at any of the participating stores, boutiques and restaurants. Drawings for prizes will begin the second week in January.

To kick off the event and get the first stamp on your punch card come down to Charlie Watson Lane between 10am – 12pm this Saturday to get coffee from Karma Boutique & Coffee Bar and baked goodies from Kathy’s Java Express.  Stop by for a treat and a give away. Support Small Businesses in Downtown!!

This coming Monday, December 2nd at 7:00pm, come to downtown Sanford for the annual Sanford Christmas Parade! For over 60 years, the Central Carolina Jaycees have organized this classic event featuring floats, dogs, cats, law enforcement vehicles, Southern Lee & Lee County High School marching bands and of course a special appearance by Santa himself!
