Robert Davis – East Lee Middle School

8th Grade English Language Arts Teacher Robert Davis, of East Lee Middle School, is our Lee County Teacher of the Week.  Mr. Davis is currently in his 22nd year of teaching and was honored last year as the 2016-17 Teacher of the Year at East Lee Middle School.

Students and peers use a wide range of words to describe Mr. Davis, such as “amazing,” “nice” and “funny.” His kids appreciate Mr. Davis’ ability to make learning fun, while also teaching meaningful life lessons. His students learn how to reason, think on their own and make good moral decisions, as part of their classroom experience.

Mr. Davis began his college career at Central Carolina Community College and earned degrees in Middle Grades Education and English at UNC-Greensboro. The highlight of Mr. Davis’ busy school day centers on improving the reading skills of his students.  In his free time, Mr. Davis enjoys spending time with his family and his church.
