Here in Sanford, we’re blessed with having a lot of family-friendly amenities and attractions for a city our size, but one that is sometimes overlooked is the Sanford Municipal Golf Course. Now in it’s ninth decade of existence, the course was originally designed by golf legend Donald Ross in 1934. PGA Pro David Von Canon has served as Course Manager since 1994. Amenities at the course include a chipping green, driving range, practice bunker, putting green, pro shop and snack bar. Golf carts are available, and are required until 1pm on weekends and holidays. Tee times are recommended on weekdays and required on weekends and holidays.

If a member of your family would like to learn the sport or improve his or her game, lessons are also available.
