The Lee County Regional Fair wraps up this Sunday, September 15th and there’s tons to see! Last week we talked about the Paw Pageant and Sanford’s Got Talent performances happening on Sunday, but there is so much more to experience before the fair is over!
For many in the Sanford community, the most important parts of the fair are the many exhibitions that take place throughout the week. The exhibitions take many forms, with people submitting art, sculptures, decorations, jewelry, carved pumpkins, photographs, woodcraft, baked goods, clothing, crops, livestock and more in order to compete for the blue ribbon!
Many of these exhibitions have categories for children, teens and adults so that talented people of all ages can showcase their talent and hard work! To see the winners for yourself, visit the agricultural and commercial exhibit halls any time after 4:30pm on Friday, or after 12:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Or, you can check out the Artisans’ Showcase in the Commercial Hall from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday and Saturday to see some of the best art, crafts and food Lee County has to offer! To see the full list of exhibition categories, check out the 2019 Lee County Regional Fair Catalog.
If you or someone you know has their work in the exhibition, or if something there catches your eye, share it on our Facebook Page for a chance to be featured in upcoming Welcome to Sanford articles!
