Jordan Edwards – B.T. Bullock Elementary

Our Welcome To Sanford Teacher of the Week this week is Jordan Edwards, a second grade teacher at B.T. Bullock Elementary School.  Mrs. Edwards is in her 10th year teaching at B.T. Bullock. In addition to her present role with second graders, Mrs. Edwards has also taught 3rd grade and Special Education. She is a graduate of East Carolina University and holds a degree in Elementary Education.

According to Mrs. Edwards, the look on children’s faces when they accomplish success is her greatest reward.  She exclaims, “I love teaching and I love my Bullock family! Getting to celebrate my students and their look of pride is by far the most rewarding aspect of teaching.”

In the 2017-2018 school year, Mrs. Edwards was honored as Teacher of the Year, both for B.T. Bullock and for the entire Lee County Schools system. At the time of the recognition, Stefanie Clark, school principal at B.T. Bullock, enthusiastically supported the accomplishments of her teacher, commenting “Jordan is the type of teacher that every child deserves. She embodies our school mission – to love, to learn, to lead – in all that she does.”
