Central Carolina Hospital has announced the purchase of a full array of advanced screening and treatment equipment for its gastrointestinal (GI) laboratory. With this investment of nearly $400,000 in state-of-the-art equipment, Central Carolina Hospital is able to dramatically improve its level of diagnostics and care for area residents.
The new equipment includes upper and lower scopes, a flushing pump, video processors, printers, and high level disinfection tools, and expands the service offerings for both inpatient and outpatient recipients. Enhanced GI Lab services include but are not limited to sedation, pain monitoring, and basic life support training.
The investment in CCH’s GI Lab is the latest in a series of ongoing purchases undertaken by the hospital in recent months. For comments by area care providers and to learn more about this advance in patient care, read this news release from Central Carolina Hospital.
