Faith Bardill

Our latest Welcome to Sanford Artist of the Week is popular local musician Faith Bardill. Faith is an immensely talented artist, combining a powerful voice, guitar work, engaging stage presence and songwriting skills.  A Lee Christian School graduate, Faith has built a strong following from a very young age.  She was honored at the 2015 Carolina Music Awards as Teen Artist of the Year, and followed that up as the Country Female Artist of the Year in 2016 and Female Artist of the Year in 2018.

In the early stages of her career, Faith gained prominence in Faith Bardill and the Back Row Saints, performing with local stalwarts including guitarist Keith Davis, bass player Michael Woodell and drummer Scott McBryde. Faith has played with numerous other local musicians in recent years, including Britton Buchanan, Garrett Morrison, Kevin Griffin and Chad Spivey.

She and her bandmates have also been honored to share the stage with acts such as Craig Campbell, Mo Pitney, Michael Ray, Kasey Tyndall, Carter Winter, Muscadine Bloodline, High Valley, Justin Moore, and the Embers.

Faith’s music is characterized as a crossroads sound between modern country, classic country and classic rock.  Her live music calendar has stayed extremely busy of late and has included dozens of shows at venues throughout the Carolinas in 2019, including a notable gig at Sanford’s Temple Theatre in April. She recently played 2 dates at the Losers Bar in Las Vegas, where Ryan Trotti accompanied her.

Here’s some encouraging news for Faith’s local fans … Faith will be participating in Sanford’s extensive community-wide National Night Out festivities this Tuesday August 6, performing at the Lemon Springs Fire Station on Greenwood Road at 6pm. Faith is booked with Southern Voice at Live Music on Steele Street on Thursday August 15 at 7pm on the Steele Street stage. She’ll be doing an acoustic gig at the Camelback Brewery on Saturday August 24, and for outdoorsy-types, Faith even has a few dates out at the Gross Farms Pumpkin Patch on two Saturday afternoons in October (October 5 and 26).

Until Faith hits a nearby stage, the internet offers plenty of opportunities to see and hear Faith in action. Faith’s YouTube Channel has dozens of clips, live music and special videos, and her Facebook page also has plenty of content. You can keep up on all things Faith at her website, and as an added bonus, we’re happy to share an audio clip of Faith performing her song Adeline. As our final send-off, please be sure to enjoy Faith’s music video of her original composition Wishin You Were Mine, and her performance video of Linda Ronstadt’s classic, You’re No Good.
