Dirty Dancing is the next installment of the Sanford Goes To The Movies Outdoor Movie Series. Presented by Adcock & Associates, the film showing has been delayed due to inclement weather, and will now be shown on Saturday, October 17 at 7:30 at the Sanford Lions Club Fairground.

Gates will open at 6:00 PM for contactless tailgating from a variety food trucks. Food is not included in the price of the ticket. The film will begin at 7:30 PM.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to local charities, including The Sanford Lion’s Club, The Boys & Girls Club of Central Carolina, and LCI.

While Halloween will be unusual this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that doesn’t mean that Sanford won’t still have some fantastic Halloween events happening throughout the month.
From today until October 24th, Visit Sanford and Downtown Sanford Inc. are hosting the “Boo & Brew Ghost Tour.” This self-guided audio tour and haunted pub crawl takes you through five different downtown Sanford restaurants and breweries while you hear the story of Lee McIver, the ghost who supposedly haunts the historic Lee Furniture Building.
