Central Carolina Hospital has announced the launch of a new toll-free helpline that will help Medicare beneficiaries select a health plan that fits their needs, budget and in-network requirements. By calling 855-581-8943 or accessing this Helpline link on the Central Carolina Hospital website, participants can find the optimal plan for their specific circumstances. Click on the link in the previous sentance, or from the homepage on the hospital website, click on the For Patients and Visitors navigational element, then select Medicare, to learn more and arrange to speak to a licensed agent.
The helpline is run by MedicareCompareUSA and connects patients with local licensed agents who can evaluate available options in Medicare Advantage, Supplement and Prescription plans and then facilitate enrollment in the plan selected by the patient.
Through this program it will be easier for Medicare beneficiaries to find a plan that is in-network with Central Carolina Hospital and its affiliated doctors. Equally important, patients can benefit from an annual review of their Medicare coverage during Medicare’s annual enrollment period. As Central Carolina Hospital CEO Spencer Thomas notes, insurance options, health plans, and contractual relationships can change, so its important for individuals to evaluate their care plans on an annual basis. Failure to do so can lead to increased or unexpected out-of-pocket costs for care.
According to Thomas, “Our patients trust us to be their healthcare partner. This helpline will assist Medicare patients in making an informed decision regarding their insurance options at this important time in their life. We urge all local seniors to take advantage of this free service.”
As noted, Medicare patients can access the helpline through a link on the hospital’s website CentralCarolinaHospital.com or by calling toll free at 855-581-8943.
