Central Carolina Hospital celebrated Valentine’s Day with its third annual Healthy Heart Fair on February 14th.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death for both men and women. Central Carolina Hospital recognizes the importance of education of heart healthy and promoting a stronger community.
At the fair, there were numerous services that people could participate in such as a free lipid and glucose screening, ask dietitians about wellness, and CPR demonstration.
John Maxwell, CEO of Central Carolina Hospital noted “We are committed to making communities healthier and excited to offer free screenings, education and resources to our community on the one day of the year that is all about the heart, Valentine’s Day.”
