Central Carolina Hospital Announces In-Network Reinstatement For UnitedHealthCare

Sanford’s Central Carolina Hospital has announced an agreement with UnitedHealthcare which will return patients served by the insurance provider to “in-network” status. Patients with UnitedHealthcare insurance plans will have “in-network” access to care beginning on April 25 for hospital services and May 1 for employed physician services. The agreement includes both commercial and Medicare Advantage insurance plans.

The contract is between UnitedHealthcare’s insurance plans and Central Carolina Hospital, its employed physicians, and select Duke LifePoint Healthcare facilities. It does not affect Duke University Health System hospitals or clinics.

According to a press release issued by the hospital, “Central Carolina Hospital is pleased to announce that we have reached a new agreement with UnitedHealthcare that reinstates “in-network” status for hospital and employed physician services. This is a win for our patients who deserve access to quality healthcare here at home, and we appreciate their patience as we have worked through this process.”
