Central Carolina Hospital will observe American Heart Month and celebrate Valentine’s Day with its fourth annual Healthy Heart Fair on Wednesday February 14th from 7-10am.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death for both men and women. Central Carolina Hospital sees its annual observation as an effective way to encourage heart healthy education and to promote a stronger community.
The fair includes over a dozen activities specifically intended to help attendees learn more about their health. Free lipid and glucose screening, CPR and heart-friendly cooking demos, as well as ask the experts presentations with dietitians, pharmacists and other health care providers are among the many fair highlights.
