Caroline Phillips – Tramway Elementary School

Our Welcome To Sanford Lee County Teacher of the Week is Caroline Phillips of Tramway Elementary School. Mrs. Phillips is an exceptional children teacher at Tramway, where she has been part of the faculty for 6 years. She was recognized as the school’s Teacher of the Year for 2017-18 and holds a dual degree in both Early Childhood Education and Special Education from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Mrs. Phillips feels that all children, regardless of ability, are capable of learning, and carry special gifts inside of them, waiting to be discovered. She comments, “As a special educator, I strive not only to meet my students at their individual levels, but to prepare them to be functional, independent productive members of society. all students can learn with appropriate instruction and individual support! We are dedicated to making success attainable for every student, as well as motivating them every day to do their best and work towards their fullest potential.”

Mrs. Phillips enjoys building a strong relationship with each student that walks through her classroom door. She is willing to do whatever it takes to meet the needs of her students. She stops at nothing until she has found a way to challenge each student to meet their full potential.

Teaching is Mrs. Phillips’ passion.  When she is outside of school, Mrs. Phillips enjoys paddleboarding, yoga, fishing, and crafting.
