Brian Caldwell — SanLee Middle School

Our latest Welcome To Sanford Teacher of the Week is Brian Caldwell from SanLee Middle School. Mr. Caldwell joined the faculty at SanLee in 2008. In his tenure at the school, he’s taught Language Arts and Social Studies in all 3 grades at the school (grades 6-through-8). This year, Mr. Caldwell is teaching 8th grade social studies, where he promises to provide his students “a much deeper understanding of and appreciation for the country and state in which we live!”

Mr. Caldwell was recognized as SanLee’s Teacher of the Year for the 2016-17 school year. He comes from a family of teachers, and has a deep passion for making a difference in kids’ lives. His background includes teaching at Lee County High School and Northwood High in Chatham County. He also coached soccer, basketball and tennis at both schools and was also the Key Club Advisor during his time at Lee Senior.

Mr. Caldwell maintains a very active schedule. He serves as Pastor at Providence Methodist Church in Bonlee, teaches in the Humanities Department at Central Carolina Community College, and enjoys running, playing tennis and music, when his time allows.
