Breaking News: Kids Are Taking Over Hugger Mugger Brewing Company!

Daylight Savings begins this Sunday and Spring is just around the corner, there’s no time to waste! This weekend, Hugger Mugger and The Smoke & Barrel have some great events, and a month long art show begins at the Steele St. Mall!

This Saturday, March 7th, the kids of Sanford will be taking over the taproom at Hugger Mugger Brewing Company! Starting at 4:00 PM, there will be a dance party, face painting, cupcakes from Sinful Decadance, and more! The event ends at 6:00 PM, don’t miss it!

As always, there will be some great live music in downtown Sanford this weekend. Tonight, Friday March 6rd, Gary Braddy will be performing at the Smoke & Barrel from 8:30 PM – 11:00 PM. Braddy, born and raised in Tillery, NC, has been writing and performing songs across the country for 27 years. Braddy’s country rock sound is greatly inspired by the music of Merle Haggard and Alan Jackson.

10 O’Clock High will be performing tonight as well, at Hugger Mugger from 8:00 PM – 10:30 PM. On their Facebook page, 10 O’Clock High defines their genre as “Alt/rock maybe?” so this is sure to be an interesting show!

Finally, this Sunday, March 8th, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM there will be a reception kicking off the Youth Art Month show at the Lee County Art Council. All month long you can come and view the works of talented Lee County youths at the Steele St. Mall.
