That third Thursday of the month is almost here! That means it’s time for the next Downtown Alive! Concert.
Like the previous Downtown Alive events, there will be fun for all. In case you haven’t had a chance to attend, Downtown Alive! is a free monthly concert series here in Sanford that will be taking place on the third Thursday of each month until October. This concert series is replacing what was previously known as “Function at the Junction”. The August concert will be Thursday, August 15, from 7pm-9pm on Steele Street in Downtown Sanford.
The feature performance for August’s concert will be Southern Voice featuring Faith Bardill! Southern Voice is a North Carolina rock band that performs strong with a light show. Their performances feature songs from today’s top artists. Faith Bardill is the 2018 Carolina Country Music Female Artist of the Year. Her performances include country and class rock.
In addition to the concert, there will be food trucks and local breweries as well as all the favorite Downtown restaurants. These concerts are family-friendly and families are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to the event.
Here is what the lineup will look like for the following months:
- June 20: Dr. Bacon, Appalachian funk rock band
- July 18: Molly Stevens, folk and country singer/songwriter
- August 15: Southern Voice with special guest Faith Bardill
- September 19: Joe Hero, 90s rock cover band
- October 17: Al Strong
