The beginning of Fall is just a few days away, and in celebration of that occasion Sanford has been blessed with beautiful early Autumn weather! Though Summer temperatures may be returning next week, this weekend is the perfect time to get out into the crisp Fall air and witness the transition of the trees, the sound of the leaves and the feeling of good company!
Tomorrow, Sanford Brush & Palette Club is hosting their Fall Plein Air Paint-Out at Depot Park. Whether you haven’t painted in years or you consider yourself an expert, this event is a great way to meet fellow artists or to simply have a peaceful morning painting with your peers.
Check-in is from 8:30-9:30am at Depot Park, 106 Charlotte Ave., Sanford, NC 27330 and the event goes until 2:00pm. You’ll need to bring your own supplies and lunch, but water & snacks will be available.
If you want to share your talent with the community, you can submit your painting to the Plein Air categories of the 2019 Annual Art Show by getting a stamp when you check in and validating your artwork at check-out. Who knows, your art may even be featured on a future Welcome to Sanford Artist Of The Week post!
Afterwards, you can spend the afternoon exploring the streets of Downtown Sanford, and checking out our many unique restaurants and retail locations!
