Always An Adventure At The Library

This week we are focusing our Fun Friday article on some upcoming happenings at the Lee County Libraries!

If you haven’t heard, Wayback Wednesday takes place every other Wednesday at the main library! Wayback Wednesday features a classic movie night that is ideal for kids aged 8 and above. On Wednesday, July 31 there will be a showing of War of the Worlds (1989). The movie classic will begin at 6pm and a snack will be served. Children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is not required.

If you are looking for a big adventure, take a trip to space with SPACE BINGO! Come join the library staff at the main library and play space themed bingo that is out of this world! All are welcome to join in on this fun adventure on Thursday, August 1 at 2pm. Registration is NOT required. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Gather your family and friends for a night of adventure and competitive fun!

Of course, outside of these great events is always the adventure of a good book. Lee County Libraries encourages kids to keep reading over the summer while school is out! The excellent library staff would love to assist your child in finding a fun and reading level appropriate book.

We hope everyone enjoys this last weekend in July. Check back next week as we begin to wind down summer.
