Sanford Entertainment News

There always seems to be something going on in Sanford! In addition to community events, family activities, performances at our schools, and happenings at our many parks and outdoor facilities, Sanford has an active and talented arts and entertainment scene.

The Temple Theatre is Carolina’s Center for the Performing Arts. Since 1984, the theatre has presented hundreds of shows of all types, including their annual main stage Broadway-styled shows, live music concerts, stand-up comedians, touring acts and much more.  The Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center holds many events throughout the year that range from bingo nights and karate matches. to regional conferences and community activities. The Lee County Community Orchestra is another community gem. For three decades, LCCO has provided several free concerts.  It’s performers and audience members both cover a full age range.

We invite you to visit this section of the Welcome To Sanford website on a regular basis, for the latest news on community entertainment.
