Sanford Education News

Among the many great attributes in our community is the complete commitment we all place on higher education.

The Lee County Public Schools system is filled with dedicated teachers, administrators, staffers, volunteers and students, who work hard every day to fulfill each participant’s potential. With three public high schools and a full range of 13 diverse schools that serve populations in the pre-, elementary and middle school ages, Lee County offers education and training to meet each person’s needs.

Central Carolina Community College is one of the state system’s highest-rated 2-year and training institutions, offering nearly 50 different curriculum programs and distance education. The Lee County community is also home to 2 established Christian schools, a Montessori school and charter school.

For latest news from our schools and the students they serve, please visit this section of the Welcome To Sanford website on a regular basis.
