Sanford’s Central Carolina Hospital was the home of a very special delivery on Thursday, January 2, 2020, when little Baby Isaiah entered the world at 10:58am.
With his emphatic arrival, Isaiah become Sanford and Lee County’s very first resident to be born in the new year. Isaiah came two weeks ahead of schedule and made his parents Tionna and Trayvon the surprised parents of the area’s first baby of the new decade. Isaiah weighed in at 6 pounds, 5 ounces.
Tionna and Trayvon were high school sweethearts, and interestingly, Tionna was also born at Central Carolina Hospital 23 years ago. It’s fair to say CCH’s Birthing Center is significantly more advanced than when Tionna arrived there the first time. The hospital’s birthing center includes 5 private and spacious labor and delivery suites, as well as amenities such as private bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs, sleeper sofas for dads, central monitoring, and in-room infant care areas.
Anna Manning, Central Carolina Hospital’s Public Information Officer is part of CCH’s welcoming committee for baby Isaiah, commenting “It is our privilege to provide a safe, comforting and welcoming environment for our newest and littlest community members. Our team of expert clinical and support staff are dedicated to ensuring that every patient and his or her family have a positive experience during this special time.”
