Central Carolina Hospital has announced plans to reopen the newly renovated Central Carolina Sandhills Family Care practice, located at 101 Church Street in Broadway, North Carolina on August 13. This step marks the return of the hospital’s presence to the Broadway Community.
Certified Physician Assistant Julia Gumpert, PA-C, will begin seeing patients at the practice on select days by appointment throughout August. Starting September 3, Ms. Gumpert will see patients at the clinic Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Central Carolina Hosptial CEO Spencer Thomas is pleased both that hospital is taking this significant step and that Ms. Gumpert will serving as the facility’s point person. He comments, “Reopening this clinic location means we are restoring a key primary healthcare access point for the community. Ms. Gumpert is a native of Moncure, NC, attended school at Grace Christian School in Sanford and resides in Lillington with her family. She is currently employed with Apollo MD as a hospitalist at Central Carolina Hospital. Ms. Gumpert’s professional career has included employment at medical facilities in Angier, Hope Mills and Raeford. She graduated from the Physician Assistant Program with a Master of Medical Science from Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where she also earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Microbiology/Cell Biology, as well as a minor in Chemistry.
