This week we are taking a look at the upcoming Downtown Sanford StreetFest and Firework Festival! This event will take place Saturday, April 13 starting at 12:00pm in Downtown Sanford.
What is the Sanford Streetfest? This is the third annual event that will feature music, art, entertainment, a kids’ zone, and food and beverage trucks. The fireworks will wrap up the evening around 9pm.
To kick off the day, the Salvation Army will be hosting their annual Kettle Krush 5k and Fun Run. This event raises money to bring awareness to “krush” poverty and provide resources to help people in need. The Fun Run is targeted at the younger crowd, ages 5-12. For more information on how to register click here. If running isn’t your thing, there will also be a cornhole tournament taking place.
The Streetfest depends on its sponsorships and volunteers each year. If you are a business owner and interested in a sponsorship opportunity, check out the options here. If you are interested in volunteering to make this year another success, visit the Streetfest website to learn more.
Local crafters and vendors are also welcome to sign up. The cost will be $50 per space and there will be electricity available. Spaces are limited. Crafters and artisans will be given priority before direct sales. If you are interested in applying for a space, check out the website’s vendor page for the application and details.
More details about this event will be released closer to date. Visit the Streetfest Website for additional updates and details.
