How are you planning to celebrate Independence Day? If you’re looking for a community event, there are nearby options on the 3rd, 4th, and this weekend.
Sanford’s own Community Celebration will be held at East Sanford Baptist Church on the 4th from 5:00-7:00 and include Food, Face Painting, Games, Music and more!
Those familiar with the Ammons Farm Annual Celebration will get to celebrate twice this year, as this tradition will take place on Saturday, July 7th. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged, and refreshments will be available for purchase from Maple View Ice Cream and Pelican SnoCone food trucks. Fireworks begin at dark, but feel free to show up as early as 5:00 to get a good spot!
If you can’t get enough fireworks and are able to travel tonight, both Fuquay and the Village of Pinehurst are hosting their Independence Day celebrations this evening.
Fuquay will host their celebration at South Park starting at 6:00 and will feature a splash pad (which has got to feel great in this heat!), live music, inflatables, and rides and Fireworks starting at Sundown.
If you’d prefer to head over to Pinehurst instead, their Fourth Fest takes places at the Pinehurst Harness Track from 6:00-9:00, with Fireworks starting at 9:15. The festival will also include live music from Bantum Rooster, Food Trucks, pony rides, a bounce house and more!
If you’re looking for even more fun places to celebrate Independence Day, our friends over at Social Sanford have options from Fort Bragg, Wake County, and more as well as parades, boating and more! You can see it all here.
