The Sanford area gets the opportunity to celebrate our area’s diverse and vibrant cultures with the 2nd Annual International Culture Night, Thursday March 1, at the Dennis A. Wicker Civic Center. Participants from over 25 different countries will be on hand, in a celebration of arts, crafts, games, history, traditional dress and music.
Sponsored by El Refugio, in conjunction with Central Carolina Community College and the Lee County Arts Council, the International Culture Night will be fun and educational for the entire family. Our area’s reknowned culinary expert Chef Hamm and students from CCCC will be creating international cuisine samples, while an ensemble from the Lee County Community Orchestra will provide musical entertainment.
Festivities take place from 6-8pm and offers area residents with a special opportunity to celebrate cultures from around the world, through food, music, exhibitions and entertainment.
